'Fighter jet shot down over Syria '

- Syrian rebels have sat in western Syria, a fighter plane shot down. It was probably an extension of the Syrian armed forces, said the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.

According to the Observatory, the plane was over the Hama province from the sky and killed by rebels with heat-seeking missiles. A rebel group active in the area, Jaish al-Nasr, however, said that anti-aircraft guns were used.

The Syrian army has not yet commented on the reports.
