Feyenoord Appoints Pascal Bosschaart as Interim Manager
Feyenoord has named former player Pascal Bosschaart as interim manager following the sacking of Brian Priske. Bosschaart, 44, will take charge for the upcoming Champions League match against AC Milan.
Priske, who took over from Arne Slot last year, faced criticism due to poor results. Feyenoord's recent 3-0 win against Sparta Rotterdam ended a five-game winless streak, but they still lag 12 points behind league leaders Ajax. The club was also eliminated from the KNVB Cup by PSV Eindhoven.
Bosschaart, who played for Feyenoord from 2004 to 2006, has managerial experience with the club's under-21 team and as assistant coach at SC Cambuur and FC Dordrecht. Dennis te Kloese, Feyenoord's technical director, expressed satisfaction with Bosschaart's interim appointment, emphasizing the team's determination to continue the fight.
Feyenoord is set to face Milan in the Champions League knockout phase playoff, with the first leg scheduled for Wednesday.
