tokyo, japan - A passenger plane belonging to Japan Airlines had a tire burst during landing at Haneda Airport, Tokyo, causing a temporary closure of the runway and delays in 15 flights.

A passenger plane belonging to Japan Airlines had a tire burst during landing at Haneda Airport, Tokyo. Fortunately, no one was killed or injured in the incident, but the runway was closed for about 25 minutes, causing delays in 15 flights. The incident took place when a Boeing 737-800 aircraft with the flight number JL182, departing from Komatsu Airport in Ishikawa prefecture, had its left tire burst during landing.

The aircraft managed to complete its landing safely around 09:25, with 65 passengers and crew on board unharmed. After being towed to the taxiway, the aircraft was brought to the apron for tire replacement.

The Japan Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport, and Tourism announced that due to the runway closure for approximately 25 minutes, 15 flights experienced delays. Two flights scheduled for today with the same aircraft were canceled. An investigation has been launched to determine the cause of the accident.
