The 36-year-old Brad Spafford has been arrested. His intentions with the explosives are unknown, but a backpack with the inscription #nolivesmatter was found, hinting at a possible connection to an extremist and anarchist organization. Spafford reportedly used pictures of President Joe Biden as target practice in his backyard.
The FBI uncovered the bombs following a tip from an informant. Most of the explosives were located in his garage, with some labeled as 'lethal'. In 2021, Spafford lost three fingers from one hand while working on a homemade explosive device.
