Father pushes daughter from bridge and jumps herself

francavilla al mare - A father on Sunday in central Italy pushed his daughter from a bridge, to death. He later jumped at her, 'forgive me, forgive me,' calling after the depth and did not survive either. The drama happened on a 30-meter high bridge of a motorway near Francavilla al Mare in Abruzzo.

Specialists tried to keep the man away from his despair for hours. He demanded that the relief workers stay away from the girl. It was in vain that he finally talked to him.

According to the Italian news agency ANSA, the police does not exclude that the tragedy has to do with another case earlier in the day in nearby Chieti. There a woman, possibly the mother of the child, fell from a balcony on the fourth floor. She died in the hospital from her injuries.
