Father lets nine-month-old son smoke a cigarette

bangkalan - An Indonesian father risks a prison sentence after he has placed a photo on the internet where his nine-month-old son has a cigarette in his mouth.

Muzammil (36) would have pushed the cigarette into his son's mouth, then asked his wife to take a picture. The dad thought it was a funny picture and placed it on social media. The local police of Bangkalan ran the photo and let the man pick up.

'The child had the lit cigarette in his mouth', it sounds. 'The perpetrator straightened the child and also raised his arms because he feared the baby would otherwise burn on the shaft. '

According to local media, there are legally no penalties defined for inciting children to smoke, but Muzammil reportedly could receive up to six months in prison for violations of the Child Protection Act. His wife does not risk punishment.

Smoking is very common in Indonesia, especially among men. An estimated 63 percent of men smoke, compared with just 5 percent of women.
