Recent severe weather in Southern France has resulted in at least three reported deaths, with individuals still missing. The Var department, a popular holiday destination between Marseille and Nice, experienced a deluge of rain, causing flooding and structural collapses.

Intense Rainfall and Devastating Impact

Reports indicate that some areas received as much rainfall in a short period as typically seen over three to four months, leading to hazardous conditions and emergency responses.

Rescue teams, including around three hundred firefighters and two rescue helicopters, are working diligently to ensure the safety of residents and have conducted numerous evacuations in the affected regions.
