Fatal Tourist Boat Capsizing in Qianxi, China

Nine individuals have lost their lives, and at least seventy others have been hospitalized after tourist boats capsized in a river in Qianxi city, Guizhou province, with 84 people falling into the water. Four individuals were unharmed, as reported by CCTV. None of the seventy injured are in critical condition, according to state media.

Rescue Efforts and Presidential Intervention

Chinese President Xi Jinping has urged for 'full efforts' in search and rescue operations and the treatment of the injured, with nearly five hundred rescuers deployed. Xi emphasized the need to enhance safety measures at tourist attractions and other public venues.
