antalya, turkey - Two friends racing motorcycles at a drag racing track in Antalya collided with concrete barriers, resulting in 1 fatality and 1 serious injury.

Tragic Accident at Kepez Drag Racing Track

In Antalya, a fatal accident occurred at the Kepez Drag Racing Track where two friends racing motorcycles collided with concrete barriers. The incident took place around 4:00 pm at the Kepez Odabaşı Neighborhood. The track, known as the first drag racing track in the Mediterranean Region and opened to motor sports enthusiasts by Kepez Municipality in 2018, witnessed the tragic event involving Osman Özgen and Mustafa A.

Emergency services were alerted to the scene following the incident. Upon arrival, it was determined that Osman Özgen had lost his life, while Mustafa A., who was critically injured, was rushed to Antalya City Hospital after receiving initial medical attention from the 112 Emergency Service.

Authorities conducted an investigation at the scene, and the deceased body of Osman Özgen was taken to the Antalya Forensic Medicine Institute morgue. Mustafa A. remains in serious condition at the hospital. The gendarmerie initiated an inquiry into the accident.
