havana - The Colombian rebel group FARC in September not buy weapons and ammunition. Leader Rodrigo Londono Echeverri which Wednesday announced in a Twitter message sent to Colombian President Juan Manuel Santos.
Echeverri, also known as Timoshenko said that the movement wants to show that it is serious about a peace agreement with Colombia. The FARC and Colombia enter the Cuban capital Havana for nearly three years of peace talks. According to the BBC in March, both parties expect to reach a final agreement.
The two sides have already agreed on four key areas, namely political representation of the FARC in Colombia, land rights, drug trafficking and a temporary peace. The temporary peace agreement was reached in September.
