Family turns off equipment victim (16) shooting

baltimore - The parents of a 16-year-old student of an American school who was seriously injured in a shooting on Tuesday, disable the equipment that keeps her alive.

According to the mother of Jaelynn Willey, the girl is brain dead and there is no chance she will ever come to know. It is almost certain that the girl dies soon after switching off the equipment.

The boy who shot the girl and a fellow student at a high school in the American city of Baltimore died in a hospital after being shot by a security guard. The other victim, a boy, survived the shooting. There is still uncertainty about the motive.

The shooting comes almost a week after student protests across the country against the laws on gun possession that would be much too lax in most states. The reason for this was the 14 February massacre in Florida where a nineteen-year-old former student shot fourteen schoolchildren and three adults at a 'high school' with a semi-automatic weapon.
