washington - Facebook leader Mark Zuckerberg will make his appearance at a hearing in the US Congress next month. That is what sources within the tech company say to CNN. Pressure from politics, media and society would make it impossible to stay away.
Facebook is under attack because of the scandal around Cambridge Analytica. That data company would have used personal information from tens of millions of Facebook users to create voter profiles. These were intended to influence the voting behavior of voters.
In addition to the 33-year-old Zuckerberg, top executives from other tech companies have also been invited by Senator Chuck Grassley, chairman of the legal committee in the Senate. It concerns Sundar Pichai from Google and Jack Dorsey from Twitter. The hearing on data privacy should take place on 10 April.
