'Facebook shared data 2.7 million EU citizens'

brussels (anp) - The data of some 2.7 million Facebook users in the EU may be 'improperly shared'. \u0026 # X27; \u0026 # x27; with the discredited research bureau Cambridge Analytica.

The American tech company responded to a letter from EU Commissioner Vera Jourova (justice) asking for clarification about the scandal.

Jourova is 'having a meeting with Facebook' next week, 'said a spokesman for the European Commission. Cambridge Analytica would have abused the data of tens of millions of Facebook users in the US for Donald Trumps campaign for the presidential election. Facebook reported earlier this week that more than 89,000 Dutch accounts are involved in this case.
