florennes - At an air base in Belgium, an F-16 burned out after the aircraft had caught fire during a maintenance visit. Two technicians suffered minor injuries, reports the Ministry of Defense.
The fire was accompanied by considerable smoke development. The device is considered lost. Another fighter plane suffered damage.
The two technicians were treated on site for hearing damage, possibly as a result of an explosion. What exactly happened is unclear. 'That has to prove research,' says a woman in the news. The incident happened around 2 pm on Wednesday afternoon at the military airport in Florennes, in the south of Belgium.
