mykolaiv, ukraine - A blast in Mykolaiv, Ukraine left 2 dead and 8 injured. Claims emerged linking the explosion to revenge and Russian intelligence.

Explosion in Mykolaiv

Two people were killed and eight others were injured in an explosion outside a cafe in Mykolaiv, Ukraine. One of the deceased was identified as the woman who caused the blast, while the other was revealed to be a bomb disposal expert. According to reports on Kyiv Post, Russian Telegram channels alleged that the woman carried out the attack to avenge the conscription of her son in the Ukrainian military. However, Ukrainian authorities and the Disinformation Defense Center dismissed these claims. Investigations by Ukrainian police revealed that the woman's sons were not of conscription age, with a 23-year-old and a 13-year-old son, neither of whom had been drafted. Officials suspect the possibility of the explosion being a suicide attack, suggesting that the woman might have been recruited by Russian intelligence agents who deceived her into believing she would receive a large sum of money as a reward. It is speculated that she may have mistaken the bomb for a listening device and it could have been detonated remotely.
