Exit Poll: CDU remains greatest in Saarland

saarbrucken - The CDU of Chancellor Angela Merkel remains by far the largest party in the western German state of Saarland. That predict the ARD and ZDF on the basis of exit polls after the Sunday elections. The Social Democratic SPD projected may not be noticeable from the euphoria to take advantage of the new party leader Martin Schulz.
The CDU would have received 41 percent of the vote, the SPD 29.5 percent. Die Linke get 13 percent and 6 percent Alternative for Germany. The Greens (4.5 percent), FDP (3 percent) and Pirates (1 percent) are all below the threshold of 5 percent.
