Ex-Panama dictator undergoes surgery

panama - Former Panamanian dictator Manuel Noriega will undergo surgery Thursday to remove a brain tumor. This was reported by his doctor Eduardo Reyes Friday (local time).

Noriega, which held sway from 1983 to 1989 on the Central American country, is currently serving a prison sentence for include murder, drug trafficking, money laundering and human rights abuses. Last year he asked his countrymen to forgive him and his former accomplices.
