berlin - A former bodyguard of al-Qaeda boss Osama bin Laden has lived for years at the expense of the state in Germany and can not be extradited to his native Tunisia. From answer to questions from the party AfD it appears that the 42-year-old Sami A. gets more than 1150 euros per month for his family of six people that also has German passports.

A. has lived for years with his wife and four children in or near Bochum, according to German media Tuesday, where he receives a contribution as an asylum seeker. He has to report there every day to the authorities.

The German authorities have tried to expel the ex-guard to his native country, but the judge has put a stop to it. The last statement dates from last year and the court says that there is a risk that he will be treated inhumanly in Tunisia.

A. came to Germany in 1997 as a student. Then he joined al-Qaeda before returning to Germany.
