Evacuation after fire hospital Antwerp

antwerp - In a fire at the psychiatric department of Stuivenberg Hospital in Antwerp a fire broke out at 01:30 on Thursday night.

The 135 patients were evacuated to the hospital's canteen, where they were captured by the staff. Nobody got injured.

The damage is considerable. Also all underlying floors were water and smoke damage. A number of patients may therefore need to divert to another hospital on Friday morning.

Many Dutch people also visit the hospital for treatments.
