brussels - The European Council Sunday raised its own threat level for terrorist attacks from yellow to orange after the Belgian authorities had determined that it remains level for Brussels Monday on the highest level. According to the Council it is a preventive measure.

Additional safety measures are taken and non-essential changes in the building of the Council in Brussels not continue. Monday evening will be determined whether the level remains orange or is lowered to yellow.
