The European Union has activated the civil protection mechanism to support Israel in combating severe wildfires near Jerusalem, showing solidarity with the nation.

Wildfires and Evacuations

Devastating fires broke out along the highway between Jerusalem and Tel Aviv, leading to road closures and the evacuation of thousands of people. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu declared a national emergency and deployed the military to aid in firefighting efforts.
