brussels - The storage of passenger data for flights to, from and between European countries is almost a fact. Thursday voted a committee of the European Parliament in Brussels for the deal that it signed with the European member states and the European Commission. About the so-called Passenger Name Register (PNR) has been firmly negotiated partly because there were concerns about the privacy of citizens.

EU countries are to use the data in the fight against terrorism and other serious crimes. Lately, especially after the attacks in Paris, hammered more and more countries to the need for the system so that the travel movements of terrorist suspects can be monitored better.Probably the whole EU Parliament will decide in January on the new law.
