'Essential Phone delivered fast'

los angeles - Andy Rubin has pushed people who have ordered an Essential Phone in an email that the smartphone will be delivered quickly. The Android founder and former Google Superman writes in the mail that the Essential Phone is now undergoing the latest testing and certification processes. Cnet has placed the email online.

Rubin recently surprised friend and foe by announcing a brand new smartphone. The Essential Phone is a high end smartphone that has to compete with devices such as Apple iPhone 7, the Google Pixel and the Samsung Galaxy S8.

After Rubin's announcement earlier this year, there was a proper run on the device. Over the last few weeks, more and more sounds have come about problems with the production of the Essential Phone. Apparently Rubin felt obliged to give his clients text and explanation.

An exact release date is not yet known.
