istanbul - Now that the state of emergency in Turkey has finally been lifted yesterday after two years, there is relief from the Turkish opposition and from the EU. Yet both the opposition and the EU remain critical. They fear that due to the already existing laws and other measures that may soon come, the situation for freedom of expression and press freedom remains extremely critical.
