Embassy USA in Jerusalem opens in May

washington - The new US embassy in Jerusalem will open its doors in May this year. The opening coincides with the 70th anniversary of the founding of Israel on May 14, the US Department of State said Friday.

The embassy will temporarily be located in an existing building complex in the Arnona district, where the consulate is currently located, the spokesman said. The American ambassador David Friedman will work there with a 'small team'.
