san francisco - xAI introduces Grok-3, claiming it as the smartest AI on Earth, to rival OpenAI and DeepSeek's chatbots.

Elon Musk's xAI Introduces Grok-3 Chatbot

xAI, the AI startup owned by billionaire Elon Musk, has unveiled its latest chatbot, Grok-3, in a bid to compete with OpenAI and DeepSeek. Musk refers to Grok-3 as the 'smartest AI on Earth'.

Grok-3 is immediately available to Premium+ subscribers on X, Musk's social media platform. The company is also launching a new subscription named SuperGrok for the chatbot's mobile app and Grok.com website. xAI plans to open source previous versions of its Grok models within a few months, making the technology freely accessible to third parties.

At the presentation of the new chatbot, Musk stated that Grok-3 has 'more than ten times' the computing power of its predecessor. Musk claims that in the fields of mathematics, science, and coding, Grok-3 outperforms competitors' AI models such as Google's Gemini, DeepSeek's V3 model, and OpenAI's GPT-4o.
