USAID in Danger as Musk Threatens Closure
Another target of Elon Musk is the US Agency for International Development (USAID), with Musk stating that the agency will be shut down. After a high-ranking USAID official rejected DOGE's access request, Musk announced the closure of the agency.
US Secretary of State Marco Rubio commented on the controversy during his El Salvador visit, indicating that he will assume the acting role of the USAID deputy director. Over 600 USAID employees were informed not to come to the office on Monday, hinting at a potential closure.
