- El Salvador President Nayib Bukele offers to accept criminals, including Americans, in a meeting with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio.

El Salvador President's Unusual Offer to the US

President Nayib Bukele of El Salvador proposed accepting criminals from the US, including Americans, in a meeting with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio in San Salvador.

Rubio described the situation as an 'unprecedented and extraordinary migration agreement.'

The US State Department spokesperson, Tammy Bruce, stated that President Bukele agreed to take back all Salvadoran MS-13 gang members and also offered to accept violent illegal immigrants, including members of the Venezuelan Tren de Aragua gang, from any country.

The discussion focused on addressing the illegal migration wave, leading to several agreements between the US and El Salvador.

President Bukele emphasized the significance of the proposed deal, highlighting its historical importance and expressing sympathies towards former President Donald Trump.

US Aid Cut Controversy

President Bukele criticized the allocation of development and democracy support funds, claiming that most of the aid is directed towards opposition groups and destabilizing movements.

He advocated for cutting such aid, viewing it as a victory not only for the US but for the global community as well.
