Eiffel Tower close due to winter weather

paris - The Eiffel Tower in Paris is closed to visitors due to heavy snowfall. It is not known how long the tower remains closed.

Weerinstituut Meteo France has issued orange code because of the winter weather. Especially the northern part of France is affected. The weather mainly causes traffic disruption.

It is not the first time that the tourist attraction has closed its doors to visitors. So the Eiffel Tower closed in 2016 because of football riots in the area. In 2015, the monument was closed in memory of the victims of the attacks on, among others, the Bataclan and Charlie Hebdo. Normally the Eiffel Tower is open 365 days a year.
