
Earthquake and tsunami alarm in Alaska

anchorage - The largest city in Alaska, Anchorage, has been hit by an earthquake. It had a power of 6.7. The epicenter was 12 kilometers north of Anchorage, at a great depth.
The authorities have issued a tsunami warning as a precautionary measure for the coastal areas around Cook Inlet, the sea arm where the city is located.
Little is known about the consequences of the quake. However, the airport and campus of the university have been evacuated.
