The agency identifies a number of trends over the past decade. People attach more and more importance to hit the trail. They do more and more to it abroad (nearly 18 million holidays last year). They also make frequent short trips (13 million two to four day- trips).

Last year, the Netherlands spent nearly 15.5 billion euro on holidays. Internet has long been a widely used tool to find and book. In four years the prevalence increased by nearly 10 percent. There is also growing bookings made ​​during the trip.

Annually about a million Dutch winter sports, those numbers remain stable.
