Dubai builds even higher tower, which resembles giant rocket

World January 8, 2018 10:30

dubai - The Burj Khalifa in Dubai is the highest building in the world at 828 meters. But that does not take long. Project developers have concrete plans ready for a building that will look down on it. That new living giant could soon accommodate no fewer than 470,000 residents. That is 120,000 more than for example living in the municipality of Utrecht.

Exactly how high the Creek Harbor Tower is, developer Emaar has not told, but it would be at least 928 meters. Dubai, a city in the United Arab Emirates, has more than 2 million inhabitants. The planners are not afraid that the new building will soon be vacant. They point out that the country already has 2 million foreigners and that number is growing, according to the BBC.

The Creek Harbor Tower looks like a huge rocket. The cost of the construction will be roughly 840 million euros. Delivery is scheduled for 2021.
