rudersdorf bei berlin - A drunk ambulance driver in Germany left an 88-year-old woman waiting in freezing temperatures after pulling over to take a nap, while the patient was still inside the vehicle.

A recent incident in Rüdersdorf Bei Berlin, Brandenburg, Germany has come to light where the driver of a private ambulance, who was heavily intoxicated, parked the vehicle at the side of the road and fell asleep while transporting the elderly woman to a nursing home. The 88-year-old woman, identified as Waltraud Runge, had been discharged from the Immanuel Clinic earlier and was supposed to have a short journey to the nursing home.

After waiting outside in the cold for more than 6 hours, passersby alerted the authorities who discovered the woman and the drunk driver. The driver, with a blood alcohol level of 2.43, was immediately arrested. The woman, who was suffering from hypothermia, was finally taken to her intended destination where she received medical attention.

The granddaughter of the elderly woman, Pamela Runge, expressed her shock and dismay at the traumatic experience her grandmother had to endure. Having recently suffered a stroke and being unable to speak or move without a walker, being left alone in the ambulance was a harrowing experience for her. The family is devastated by the incident, especially considering the recent loss of the woman's husband.

An investigation into the incident is ongoing to determine the full extent of the negligence and trauma caused by the actions of the drunk ambulance driver.
