Dramatic SMS conversation in dead school
parkland - The dramatic texting conversation between two sisters who thought that their last hour had struck the deadly shooting in a school, came through American media.
When Nikolas Cruz with his M-15 slaughtered in the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland Florida, several students were terrified.
The 17-year-old Hannah Carbocci sat under the desk of a teacher and conversed via 91 text messages with her two-year-older sister Kaitlin.
Eventually she survived both, but the girls themselves thought it would end badly.
The conversation between the two gives a good picture of the panic, the fear, the helplessness and the horror during the shooting, in which seventeen students died.
HANNAH:
'There is a shooter on our campus'
'I'm not joking'
'Please call 911'
'Send them to Douglas (the school where the shooting took place, ed.)'
KAITLIN:
'Hannah what'
'Are you serious now?'
HANNAH:
'Kaitlin, I'm not kidding. They just shot through the walls of the classroom. Someone in my class was injured '
'I do not make a joke'
'Call mom and dad'
'I have no range, otherwise I would call'
'I do not know how this message does arrive'
