Dozens of IS suspects arrested in Turkey

ankara - The Turkish authorities have arrested dozens of foreigners who would have ties with the terrorist organization IS. Anti-terrorist units in Istanbul met at the same time buildings in thirteen districts, say sources within the police against the Turkish state press agency Anadolu.

The police arrested a total of 54 suspects. They would have been busy preparing attacks, the sources say. Other media reports that foreigners may have been planning to travel to conflict areas in Syria. Nothing has yet been published about their nationality.
