kandahar - The Taliban attack on a military camp in the Kandahar province in southeastern Afghanistan has killed around 40 soldiers, according to Afghan media. Two men men attacked stolen armored vehicles with explosives.

That signals the channel Solo TV.

The Afghan Ministry of Defense confirmed that there had been an attack on a military base in the Maiwand district but did not want to give details. The Taliban claimed to have killed even 60 soldiers.

For several months, the Taliban have been attacking nearly every day on posts and bases of Afghan security forces. For example, 48 people came across an attack on a police training center in the eastern province of Paktia.

Since the end of the NATO combat mission and the withdrawal of most of the international troop force in Afghanistan in December 2014, Afghan security forces suffered huge losses.
