Donald Trump Chooses Kari Lake as Head of Voice of America

washington - The incoming American president, Donald Trump, has selected Kari Lake as the director of the United States' official foreign broadcasting service, Voice of America.

Trump announced on Truth Social that Lake will ensure that American values of freedom are broadcasted fairly and accurately worldwide, in contrast to the lies spread by the Fake News Media.

Lake, a former news anchor and a Senate candidate from Arizona, is a supporter of Trump. She previously worked as a news anchor at Fox 10 based in Phoenix. During his first term, Trump had clashes with Voice of America, accusing the broadcaster of spreading Chinese propaganda. This came after Voice of America aired a segment of a light show celebrating the reopening of Wuhan, the city where the coronavirus first emerged.
