When the owner of Sadie, Andy Baelieu, died of a heart attack, she refused to lose sight of him. Even when the emergency services attempted to keep Andy alive, the dog stayed with her owner's body.

After the death of her owner, the thirteen-year-old dog refused to eat and waited in vain for her owner to come home again.
