new york - An American doctor looked at an episode of reality series Beachfront Bargain Hunt in early May, spotted a possible cancer on the throat of a candidate, wrote a message on Facebook and seems, a month later, to have saved her life.

Damned, thought Erich Voigt. That looks like cancer. He discovered a strange spot on the neck of Nicole McGuinness (32), who participates in the program in which candidates try to hit a beach house on the head.

'That bulge at the level of the throat looked asymmetrical and looked like a tumor,' he told The New York Post. Voigt decided to post a message on Facebook and asked his followers to share it.

Two weeks later, the message reached McGuinness, who lives 900 kilometers away. She followed the doctor's advice, had herself examined and was diagnosed with thyroid cancer. Once she survived a brain tumor, now she binds the battle again.

'It is a miracle that he saw it', the woman responds to ABC, after she visited the doctor in New York to pay her gratitude. The doctor herself gave her good news: he thinks that the cancer is probably well treatable.
