spain - Residents of various Spanish towns are reeling from the aftermath of a deadly storm that has left at least 95 people dead and many others missing. Tragic stories of loss and survival are emerging as families wait anxiously for news of their loved ones.

Residents in Letur, Albacete, and other affected areas have shared harrowing accounts of the storm's impact. Mirjam, 22, tearfully spoke about her brother who was swept away by the floodwaters, leaving their family in anguish. Meanwhile, Petruta Sandu recounted the heartbreaking last moments of her parents as they tried to escape the rising waters, with no trace of them since.

Another tragic tale unfolded in Paiporta, where Lourdes María García Martín, her husband Antonio Tarazona, and their three-month-old baby Angeline were overtaken by the storm while fleeing in their car. The desperate attempts to survive ended in a devastating loss as Lourdes and the baby tragically perished.

Witnesses described the suddenness and ferocity of the flooding, with many helpless to assist those in need. Despite heroic rescue efforts and stories of survival, the toll of the storm on individuals and communities is immense.

As the search for missing persons continues and survivors grapple with the trauma of the disaster, the entire nation mourns the lives lost and stands in solidarity with those affected by this catastrophic event.
