Tin catcher was a big globe of Greenpeace, with coal-fired power stations emitting a dark gray cloud with the face of Chancellor Angela Merkel. Below was the cry: 'Come out of the cold, Miss Merkel!' Other protesters showed banners with inscriptions like 'Change the system to save our planet'.

In Cologne, about eight hundred cyclists gathered to cycle to the Bonn protest. The police reported no problems.
