Democrat demands victory Pennsylvania

pittsburgh - The Democrat Conor Lamb has claimed victory in midterm elections for a seat in the House of Representatives in Washington, but this triumph is not entirely certain. There are still 1400 votes to be counted in Pennsylvania by letter.

After counting 100 percent of the direct cast votes Lamb had a lead of 579 votes on his rival Rick Saccone. The Republican therefore did not accept any defeat.

The state was normally a prey for the Republicans. If the Democrats indeed win, that would be a major boost in the run up to the Congressional elections later this year.

The interim elections were necessary after the Republican Tim Murphy resigned last year for a sex affair.
