Delft robot joins Amazon contest

delft - A team of TU Delft is the end of June with the RoboCup 2016 in Leipzig. The engineers from Delft robot comes into action when the component Amazon Picking Challenge, a competition in which robots grab products from shelves and place them in a container and vice versa.

The robots must be able to plan and a wide range of products, which are in the shelves at random places and in all possible positions independently during the game can recognize. The team leaves through the TU Delft website to know when developing the robot to focus on the robustness of the system.

The competition aims to find solutions to automation problems for companies like Amazon. Team Delft is one of the sixteen finalists.
