addis ababa - Least 35 people have started to slide when waste was killed on a garbage dump in the Ethiopian capital Addis Ababa. Several makeshift huts and other buildings disappeared under an avalanche of waste, said the mayor of the city Sunday.
Dozens of people are still missing. The fifty-year-old garbage dump was closed in recent years, but was reopened recently. This occurred after farmers had blocked the construction of another landfill.
