Death toll increased fire orphanage

san josé pinula - The death toll from the fire rose to 39 victims in a shelter for children in Guatemala. Several children are still in critical condition in hospital.

The fire broke out Wednesday in a home in San Jose Pinula near Guatemala City. There mattresses were set on fire. Police are investigating whether the fire was set by a group of children who had tried Tuesday to escape from the home that was put aside by the leadership.

There would have been more than five hundred children from the home during the fire. The building is calculated at four hundred people.
