Death toll in gang attack in Haiti rises above one hundred

pont-sonde - The death toll following an attack by a gang in Haiti last week has risen to 109, with 40 others injured, according to a local government official.
The Haitian government described the attack by the gang Gran Grif as 'a cruelty beyond words.' Armed gangs have taken control of parts of Haiti and earlier this year helped overthrow the country's leader. The United Nations reports that more than 3,600 people have already died this year due to gang violence.
