worldwide - A summary of the deadliest plane crashes that occurred in various countries in 2024 resulting in a total of 282 fatalities.

In 2024, there were a total of 10 deadly plane crashes worldwide claiming the lives of 282 people in countries including Brazil, Kazakhstan, South Korea, Nepal, Malawi, Thailand, Iran, Canada, Japan, and Singapore.

On December 29, Jeju Air flight 7C2216 took off from Bangkok, Thailand, and crashed into a wall in Seoul, South Korea, resulting in the deaths of 179 individuals.

In Brazil, an ATR-72 turboprop plane crashed in Vinhedo, claiming 62 lives. In another incident, a Piper PA-42-1000 plane crashed in Gramado, resulting in fatalities on board and injuries on the ground.

Azerbaijan Airlines flight J2-8243 was shot down in Kazakhstan on December 25, causing the death of 39 passengers.

In Nepal, a CRJ-200 aircraft belonging to Saurya Airlines crashed in Kathmandu, resulting in 18 fatalities.

The accidental crash of a military aircraft in Malawi led to the death of 9 individuals including the Vice President.

Other fatal plane crashes occurred in Thailand, Iran, Canada, Japan, and Singapore throughout the year, each claiming multiple lives.
