caravelí - In a severe earthquake on the sea floor near Peru, a dead and seventeen wounded were killed mainly along the Peruvian coast. Local media reported that the epicenter of the quake was 56 kilometers off the coast at Puerto de Lomas and was at a depth of 48 kilometers. The maritime authorities reported that there was no danger of a tidal wave.
