quetta - At least 13 people were killed and 25 others injured in a bombing at a train station in the Pakistani province of Balochistan, according to police. The blast occurred in the provincial capital Quetta as a train bound for the city of Peshawar was about to depart. No group has claimed responsibility for the attack.

The explosion, which took place around 08:45 am, has left a tragic toll on the lives of many. The ongoing separatist insurgency in the southern province of Balochistan has been a major challenge for Pakistan, with separatists alleging that the local population remains impoverished despite the region's resource extraction activities. The recent attack is a grim reminder of the violence that has plagued the region, with previous attacks by separatists claiming numerous lives in August.
