The app is currently rolled out only in San Francisco, Los Angeles, New York, London and Tokyo. However, there must be at least one thousand people in every city.

Of the more than 300 million Twitter people had a blue check mark last July against the 200,000 accounts. This number is now expected to be much higher because now everyone can request such a 'verified account.' Until last year, stars, sportsmen, politicians, organizations and brands got such a tick.
